Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior / Intermediate Electrical Engineer, for a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Industrial/Mining industry. If you enjoy working within an energized and continuous learning environment, this may be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities- Produce basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation in accordance with established conceptual design and scope
- Conduct checking of engineering deliverables as required
- Have extensive understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, and calculations
- Apply standard engineering tasks and exhibit a working knowledge of applicable codes
- Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering work
- Participate in conferences with the client to establish project objectives and resolve design problems
- Interpret and apply codes & standards and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions, and system descriptions related to design tasks
- Develop bills of material and specifications for equipment
- Conduct field assessments and provide construction support on occasion at client facilities and construction sites
- Interface with clients for project scope development, design reviews, and progress meetings
- University graduation, majoring in electrical engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer in Canada
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- 8+ years relevant experience preferable
- Local codes and standards experience
- Experience with underground mining power and control systems would be considered an asset
