Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Set and update finance and accounting objects to match company strategy
  • Identify key financial trends and offer suggests to reduce risk
  • Manage capital planning, investments, and budgets
  • Oversee daily accounting tasks including billing, collections, payroll, and inventory
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements
  • Prepare cashflow projects
  • Oversee banking, treasury, and covenant reporting
  • Ensure compliance with government, tax and legal requirements
  • Establish internal controls for accurate financial reporting
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with banks, auditors, consultants, and private equity partners
  • Other ad hoc duties and projects as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • 7 - 8 years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in financial reporting and consolidations in an acquisition-based environment
  • Public accounting experience, ideally within a Big4 environment, is a definite asset
  • Passion for working in an entrepreneurial environment with the desire to help grow and continually push the company forward
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Active listener with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels and contribute to strategic business decisions
  • Driven and proactive work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines
