Our client provides a relaxing and friendly environment for people to enjoy while they undergo cancer treatment. The lodge provides accommodation for up to 83 guests each week (including some support people), and a free shuttle to take guests to and from their treatment.

We are looking for individuals with excellent people skills and a can-do attitude to host guests at the lodge.

Casual role - We are looking for casual workers to work a variety of shifts Monday to Friday between 7am and 9.30pm and/or weekend work. The weekend shifts can be 6 or 12 hours including overnight shifts, either 8am – 8pm or 8pm – 8am

The shuttle service does not operate over the weekend.

Responsibilities will include:

The lodge is an accommodation and meal service. Guests are self sufficient and there is no nursing care required on site.

  • Shuttling guests to and from accommodation (Full clean NZ Drivers license essential, P endorsement a bonus)
  • Regular interaction with guests and welfare checks
  • Duties such as tidying, cleaning, light cooking duties (muffins & soup) helping to serve meals, laundering room linen and watering the gardens
  • General help where needed

The successful candidates will have exceptional people skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life. You will be empathetic to people’s needs and privacy. In addition to being mature and extremely reliable, you will offer a high level of initiative, be well rounded and happy to help where needed.

You must have immediate eligibility to work in New Zealand to be considered
