Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube is a globally operating trading company and specialist in steel pipes and pipe and tube applications. We offer a broad range of pipe products and customized services. Each day our employees apply their knowledge of sourcing, project management, logistics and stock planning on behalf of customers in the industry and energy markets.

Job Summary

  • Prepare weekly, periodic, and annual financial reporting packages for the Canadian entity.
  • • 13 period annual reporting cycle
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of accounting information.
  • Perform payroll and human resource related functions, including:
  • • Biweekly payroll
  • • Staff onboarding/ offboarding
  • • Administering benefits
  • • Managing Workday functionality
  • Post journal entries and accruals.
  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare or review various reports including Sales, Inventory, Insurance, and Financial.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.
  • Maintain customer and vendor onboarding process.
  • Assist with managing customer credit risk.
  • Manage Return Goods Authorization process and issue credit memos.
  • Assist as needed with processing and reporting of financial results for the North America Region:
  • • 1 Canadian entity
  • • 3 USA entities
  • Support supervision of finance staff.
  • Other ad hoc reporting and finance projects as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • CPA designation or enrolment in the CPA program.
  • Sound knowledge of GAAP, accounting software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
  • Able to problem solve and prioritize.
