About The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that supports our growth, enhances our culture, and optimises our talent.

Culture and Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive, and dynamic company culture. Implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and productivity.

Talent Management: Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent. Develop clear career paths and ensure employees have opportunities for growth and development.

Performance Management: Design and implement performance management systems that are fair, consistent, and aligned with our company goals.

Learning and Development: Establish a learning culture through the development of programs and initiatives that support ongoing employee development and skill acquisition.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI efforts throughout the organisation. Implement strategies and practices that ensure a diverse workplace and foster an environment of inclusivity.

Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the development and implementation of competitive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that attract and retain talent.

Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for all team members on various HR matters. Address and resolve employee relations issues with a balanced and fair approach.

HR Analytics: Utilise HR analytics to inform decision-making, track key HR metrics, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Manage the HRIS to ensure employee records are recorded and current

Compliance: Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with federal, and local employment laws and regulations in both Canada and the United States.

Who We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or HR certification.

Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the tech industry.

Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that have positively impacted company culture and growth.

Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance issues, and industry best practices.

Willing to be fully hands-on in doing the hard outbound work necessary to find talent

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.

A forward-thinker who is adaptive to change and can thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Experience in a high-growth startup environment is desirable.
