The Asset Liquidity and Funding Analytics team o r Alpha is responsible for Wholesale funding and Liquidity Analysis. Our team provides a nalytics for Front office and TBSM(business partners) use platforms to determine whether or not to raise short term funding to sustain short term business functions to help drive these business outcomes while aligned to the bank's technology strategy. The team is based in Toronto, Dublin and New York.

About This Role

The Asset Liquidity and Funding Analytics team is looking to on-board a technologist to extend the strategic Liquidity and Funding platform at TD Securities.

The ideal candidate would be a self-starting, motivated and high-performing individual who looks forward to being a strong contributor in a dynamic technology organization at a major bank. The successful candidate will leverage their strong understanding of the liquidity, funding and collateral domains and work directly with the business in solving complex industry challenges. This complex role is on a team of highly talented technologists delivering solutions to the global markets business, providing front to back funding and liquidity metrics across a spectrum of capital market products.

• Develop a deep understanding of liquidity and funding functions across different asset classes

This role will suite a strong technologist with an interest in more business facing role or a strong, experienced technical Business Analyst looking for a more technical role.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the product and influence the overall architectural direction

• Lead discussion groups with stakeholders to provide optimal solution to the business challenges

• Partner with Front Office, Treasury, and Risk Management stakeholders to develop a strategic analytics platform to optimize the dealer’s funding & financing needs

• Continually drive to improve overall product and product's end-user experience

• Drive and facilitate data on-boarding from source systems onto the target solution

• Provide detailed analysis for successful test driven development for developers

• Help drive transformation by continuously looking for ways to automate existing processes

• Provide leadership on the development of a robust and efficient application

• Lead, Inspire and Mentor team members on the use of Software Development best practices

Job Requirements :

Looking for an individual with a strong engineering mindset, sense of ownership - strong organizational, follow-up and priority-setting skills to handle highly-complex and multi-faceted assignments and to work independently

Technical Skills

• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate

• 5+ years of Java experience

• Experience with RDBMS, demonstrable fluency in SQL

• Experience in designing and integrating with REST APIs, gRPC endpoints

• Experience of Hadoop, Spark, Parquet or similar Big Data technologies

• Experience of Git, CI/CD toolset (Maven / Gradle), Jenkins, working within an Agile environment

• Strong understanding of clean coding practices 

Business Skills

• Experience in collaborating efficiently within a global team

• Strong communication skills

• Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment, and supportive of flexible goals aligned with business priorities

• Knowledge of capital markets products is mandatory

• Derivatives and cross-asset product knowledge

• Hands-on experience with trade analytics, risk, valuations

• Knowledge of liquidity and collateral regulations, including collateral monitoring, stress tests, forecast requirements

• Knowledge of funding and cash management
