Marketers on Demand is looking to recruit an experienced Systems Design Specialist for a great client of ours in the GTA. This position will be responsible for supporting and executing tasks such as working with system development life cycles and software-based system applications. This role is a contract position that runs for one year with a competitive salary and the chance to partner with an industry leader.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Develop and define system design features to meet customer requirements.
- Perform signaling design, analysis, modeling, and simulation.
- Develop block design, interlocking control tables, and application database for software subsystems.
- Analyze and evaluate system performance and prepare associated technical contract deliverables.
- Analyze and evaluate designs to verify compliance with system technical requirements.
- Work in a cross-functional environment with a variety of stakeholders.
- Perform technical/engineering tasks to define application databases for software subsystems.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the development of software-based system applications.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Experience in using DOORS, Melody advance, or similar.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Strong project management experience.
