What You'll Be Doing

You will be joining CIBC Private Wealth Management as part of the Wealth Planning Group. Your focus will be on attracting, growing and deepening client relationships within CIBC Private Banking through sound wealth planning and advice. Your expert knowledge of financial planning, wealth solutions, in coordination with other professionals will help you meet the unique needs of a private wealth client. You will be a part of a diverse team of HNW planners spanning across the country, but your day to day focus will be in the business working alongside Private Bankers to achieve business results. As a senior member of the team, you will lead initiatives to drive business results through sound practice management and strong business development, while maintaining high standards of client service.

Success will be found in demonstrating CIBCs ability and desire to help clients meet their wealth ambitions.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Client engagement - Establish and maintain a network of relationships within the delivery network in order to increase consolidation of High Value Client business. Enhance relationships by providing expert financial advice & wealth planning services. Cultivate your network to establish new client relationships and build a culture of collaboration across multiple client offers (One CIBC) so that clients are served by those best able to meet their financial goals
  • Business expertise- Champion CIBC within the community to deepen existing client relationships and develop new ones. Build CIBC Private Banking market profile through active involvement in the community, with key industry associations, advocates and clients.
  • Leading and mentoring- As a seasoned financial professional, you will support a client-centric management culture with a strong focus on creating value for clients: through an emphasis on a strong advisory focus, sales, risk management and performance orientation, for a team of Private Bankers. Lead efforts in achieving business results and work as one team, supporting them as they make informed choices that benefit both the client and CIBC.

  • You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing, holding the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • You can demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in advising in the High Net Worth segment, with a deep understanding of investment products with the ability to compare and contrast solutions and a proven track record of delivering results. You understand the wealth management business and can pull together expertise needed to support clients.
