Our head office is located in Vaughan with branch offices located in Barrie, Cambridge and Hamilton. Our team currently consists of 135 highly qualified and experienced engineers, hydrogeologists, environmental scientists, technologists and support staff.
DS is currently seeking a Junior Scientist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to further develop their career in civil engineering. Requirements:
- University graduate with a minimum of a B.Sc. Degree in environmental or hydrogeology
- 1-2 years related experience in environmental engineering, hydrogeological investigations, field investigations (preferably in a consulting environment) is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong report writing skills and verbal communication in English are essential
- Must be mobile and willing to work on a combination of field and office work, as travel will be required
- Office and fieldwork to assist project managers with various tasks
Main Responsibilities:
- Office and fieldwork to assist project managers with various tasks
- Working on all project assignments within the Hydrogeology department from low to high complexity
- Completing analysis of information and report preparation
