The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Landscaping Project Manager on behalf of one of our employer partners.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, Weekends as needed

Salary/Wage:

$25 – $45 / hour depending on experience

Job Summary:

The employer partner is a leading landscaping company specializing in providing high-quality landscaping services across Toronto and GTA. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Landscaping Project Manager to join their team. As a Landscaping Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various landscaping projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and timeline.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, coordinate, and execute landscaping projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budget, and timeline
  2. Supervise and manage landscaping crews, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  3. Collaborate with clients, designers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded
  4. Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure project milestones are achieved
  5. Prepare and manage project budgets, including estimating costs, tracking expenses, and controlling project expenditures
  6. Procure necessary materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for project execution
  7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout project duration
  8. Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress, address issues, and provide guidance to the team
  9. Maintain effective communication with clients and team members, keeping them informed about project updates and resolving any concerns or conflicts
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality
Requirements:
  • 3 – 5 years minimum previous experience in managing landscaping projects in Ontario, Canada is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping building procedures, techniques, and materials
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of landscaping professionals effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and subcontractors
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required
  • A diploma or degree in landscape architecture, construction management, or a related field is preferred
