Intermediate Systems Analyst to provide application support and maintenance for commodity management processes.

Our client is seeking an Systems Analyst to provide application support and maintenance for commodity management processes.

Must Have:

  • 5+ years’ as a Systems Analyst / Software Developer supporting, developing, and enhancing large-scale corporate applications
  • Minimum three years’ experience in query writing using Oracle PL/SQL (or equivalent) against a commercial database such as Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in Microsoft .NET C# programming.
  • Degree or diploma in Computing Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and analyzing complex requirements to implement sound, scalable technical solutions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with the support and maintenance of an ETRM/CTRM system (preferably Allegro Horizon).
  • Experience with the support and maintenance of pricing repository systems like ZE/ZEMA.
  • Experience with the maintenance, development, and support of ETRM/CTRM system integrations with external trading platforms and software (ICE, WebTrader, Market ISOs, etc.).
  • Understanding of “trade to cash” business process supporting commodity trading business.
  • Understanding of Power or Natural Gas
  • Knowledge of the Systems Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) including custom-build and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) implementation frameworks.

Description:

In this role, you will provide responsive and customer-focused application support services for business groups involved in the commodity management business process. You will oversee and perform appropriate application maintenance, including applying security patches, implementing version upgrades, modifying and enhancing code, and performing ongoing data management tasks. Additionally, you will provide development services for both operations and project initiatives, ensuring solutions are cost-effective and meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support and maintenance for ETRM systems.
  • Apply security patches and implement version upgrades.
  • Modify and enhance application code.
  • Perform ongoing data management tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide development services for operations and project initiatives.
  • Follow professional IT practices within the Systems Delivery Life Cycle.
  • Contribute to financial assessments and disaster recovery planning.
  • Resolve complex technical problems using best-practice troubleshooting skills.
  • Participate in proof of concepts for solution determination.
  • Translate business requirements into efficient ETRM application solutions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to resolve issues or request enhancements.
