Software Development Manager III, Hub Tech

We are the Lockers team, solving the problem of package delivery to customers by allowing them to receive their packages when and where they want, making package delivery asynchronous. We have been in existence for 8 years, operating like a startup, and have launched successful products. Currently, we are working on a new product to revolutionize lockers by creating internet and power-independent lockers for public places.
In this role, you will gain extensive experience in building various capabilities from scratch using cutting-edge technologies like RUST and native AWS services. You will work with partners globally and witness the impact of your work within a year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall systems development life cycle of key product sub-systems
- Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team
- Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
- Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers
