Junior Technical Analyst to act as the first-line of support for troubleshooting, configurations, and reporting on real-time pipeline operations and control center applications

Our Oil & Gas client is seeking a Junior Technical Analyst to act as the first-line of support for troubleshooting, configurations, and reporting on real-time pipeline operations and control center applications.

This is an initial 1-year contract where the successful candidate will follow a hybrid (3 days in office/week) Downtown Calgary working model.

Must-Haves:

  • 4-year technical degree withinEngineering, Computer Sciences, or a relevant discipline OR equivalent experience as a technologist or analyst
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • EDMS, pipeline operations, control center, and/or SCADA system working knowledge, experience, or exposure

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Assist senior team members in operational support of systems related to pipeline operations.
  • Responsible for first-line support calls and incident tickets from all clients of systems, including Control Centers.
  • Troubleshoot, implement, and configure data interfaces from field sites to central systems.
  • Work with pipeline operations, engineering, and field personnel to test, tune, and troubleshoot the real-time applications.
  • Assist with information gathering and report generation.
  • Provide administrative and operational support, such as, patching and team meeting facilitation.
  • Certifying/revoking access to SCADA applications.
  • Recommending changes to current process/templates to meet the Department's needs.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and analyze executive reports for Engineering & Asset Reliability managers and directors, including trending analysis for the SCADA & Mechanical Engineering organization unit assuming responsibility for overall accuracy, completeness and timeless.
  • Develop and deliver scorecards for both Field SCADA and DSS & Leak Detection departments.
  • Support the modification, documentation and implementation of existing and/or new internal processes and process improvements.
