Reporting to the Service/Parts/Rental Manager, the Parts & Service Consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the parts and service department.
Our client is seeking a proactive individual with a strong background in parts management and service, capable of providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the team's success.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers by addressing inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins.
- Source parts efficiently and accurately to meet customer needs.
- Generate quotes and process orders promptly and accurately.
- Utilize inventory management software to look up and order parts.
- Assist in picking orders and processing invoices, credits, and warranties.
- Liaise effectively with other departments to coordinate parts and service activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving to resolve customer issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in parts management and service within the automotive, heavy equipment, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills & ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with inventory catalogues and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in using computer software for parts lookup and order processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Full-time position with flexibility in start date to allow for training and onboarding.
