Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist on Duty. The Pharmacy Assistant performs technical duties, including data entry and preliminary filling of prescriptions. They must employ a high degree of direct patient contact, which is crucial in developing a positive patient experience. The Provincial Regulatory Body limits duties that the Pharmacy Assistants are authorized to perform.

Qualifications:
  1. Ability to successfully pass a criminal record check as part of the recruitment process
  2. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
  3. Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
  4. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  5. Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  6. Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  7. Proficient data entry skills; experience with Microsoft Office is an asset
  8. Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
  9. Ability to adapt to new technology
  10. High level of integrity and work ethic
  11. Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  12. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Availability: Full Availability (Including weekdays, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays)
