The relationship manager, reporting to the Head of Client Management, will develop strong cross-functional relationships at the senior management level of our clients' organization to effectively identify and capitalize on opportunities in all product lines. They will provide the full suite of services to assigned corporate clients and lead the client relationships across product lines. The relationship manager is responsible for the overall quality of service, profitability, and risk containment of assigned clients

Key Accountabilities
  1. Assume responsibility for leading and strengthening the client relationship.
  2. Develop and implement a call plan for all clients. Find opportunities across all product areas and build action plans accordingly.
  3. Upsell and cross-sell new/value-added services to clients.
  4. Keep Salesforce updated with all key contacts, influences, and opportunities.
  5. Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts as the need arises.
  6. Develop positive relationships within multiple functions at the client organization.
  7. Work closely with the product development and business management of all product areas to help craft solutions to meet client needs.
  8. Alert senior management to real or potential issues. Post and update Salesforce with Client At Risk information.
  9. Review various legal and corporate documents/contracts, assessing the degree of responsibility and risk for the Company; collaborate with internal counsel; provide information to corporate clients, their legal counsel and underwriters, and sign contracts on behalf of the Company, coordinates and attends closings.
  10. Manage the process of transferring new business to the Company; ensure complete client documentation is in place; facilitate the effective integration of new clients into the ongoing operation and ensure appropriate system setup to allow the account to be run smoothly.
  11. Participate in the formulation and negotiation of fee quotes as the need arises.
  12. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Have:
  • 1 to 3 years of proven experience in a client-facing, relationship management role
  • Post Secondary Education in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the Financial services industry is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external clients. Proven track record in understanding clients' needs and developing the appropriate solutions
  • Supports the organization's ability to maximize current revenue opportunities and find new sources of revenue growth
  • Strong negotiating skills and proven ability to influence without authority
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Nice to Have:
  • Bilingual English & French, an asset
