  • Lead, contribute to and engage in usability testing, user interviews, research, and continued skill development
  • Collaborate with remote and local strategists, UX designers and developers
  • Self-manage, prioritize tasks, organize work and communicate with project managers
  • Estimate effort and project timelines; participate in project definition phases
  • Balance time and effort, project constraints, accessibility and user experience best practices
  • Build, contribute to and work from design systems, styleguides and guidelines
  • Communicate design rationale and prepare for client presentations
  • Communicate with and prepare work for development
Qualifications
  • 5+ years as a Product/UX/UI/Visual Designer (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • A strong design portfolio that showcases rationale, process and visual taste
  • A solid foundation of skills related to visual communications design, graphic design, typography and visual layout
  • Strong verbal and written communication, skilled in explaining your work, design rationale, process, and decisions to stakeholders
  • Expert tooling skills in design programs such as Figma, Sketch, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, etc) 
  • Organized and self-starting – a team player driven to produce great work
  • Knowledge of technologies and front-end development is considered an asset
  • Certification in user experience considered an asset
