*Job Summary:*

Akira Back is looking for Servers that will be responsible for providing high-levels of customer service to all restaurant patrons by providing prompt service, taking accurate orders and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.

Servers will perform customer service duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times, and ensure that the customers have an enjoyable dining experience.

*Duties and Responsibilities*
* Provide customer service to customers, including taking accurate orders.
* Taking, delivering and ensuring food is accurate based on customer’s wishes, with any accompaniments that belong.
* Maintain section cleanliness, cleaning the table during and after the meal or drink service.
* Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items.
* Ensure that customers are correctly charged, present the bill, and take payment from the customer, in accordance with the procedures of the establishment.
* Ensure proper setting of tables, removing used dishes and place settings. Assist with cleaning duties.
* Complete side duties based on the restaurant’s needs.
* Perform other duties as needed.

*Skills/Requirements*
* Previous experience working as a Server, Server Assistant or similar role.
* 1 year experience working with Japanese cuisine.
* 3 years' experience providing excellent customer service in fine dining.
* Basic sake knowledge is required.
* Must have SMART Serve.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Well-organized with ability to take orders accurately.
* Ability to operate point of sale systems.
* Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
* Able to work well under pressure.
* Able to work with a calm professional manner at all times.
* Must successfully complete the restaurant’s training course.
* Food Handler Certification is an asset.
* Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
* Able to carry and lift up to 25 pounds at one time.

*Note: salary will be dependent on experience.*
