*Job Summary:*

Akira Back is looking for Barbacks to join the team. The barback will work with other staff members to ensure that our customers receive prompt, seamless service. The barback will assist in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is well stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes and all other necessities. They will also take on other duties to support the bartender and ensure that the bar operates smoothly. They will focus on providing the best possible service in a fast-paced environment.

*Duties and Responsibilities*
* Assist bartenders in providing prompt and seamless service.
* Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins; ensuring the Bartenders have clean towels, glassware and etc.
* Ensuring the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine and beer.
* Keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.

*Skills/Requirements*
* Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in a high volume bar setting is required.
* Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
* Courteous and friendly personality.
* Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
* Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Great with time management and multitasking.
* Able to meet scheduling demands, working nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
* Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.

*Note: salary will be dependent on experience.*
