Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager specialized in municipal water and wastewater treatment to join our water team and work with our fast-growing multi-disciplinary Infrastructure team on a wide variety of projects in Ontario including water and wastewater treatment, pumping, storage, and distribution. You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our Mississauga or Kitchener office.

Primary Responsibilities include:
  1. Lead and manage project teams through all phases of project planning, design, construction, and commissioning of municipal water and wastewater projects.
  2. Be supported by technical experts from multiple disciplines in our Water group including structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil to successfully deliver projects.
  3. Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations.
  4. Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
  5. Lead and assist in the pursuit of new projects, including the development of technical scope workplans, schedule, project team organization, and task-level budgets.
  6. Build relationships with existing and potential clients; liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors.
  7. Coordinate and mentor intermediate and junior staff on fundamentals of project delivery and general project management skills.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
Minimum 12 years of directly applicable water and wastewater experience in working with municipal clients in engineering or project management roles, with a focus on GTA clients and/or Southwestern Ontario.
Demonstrated success and expertise in water/wastewater treatment project planning and design, including knowledge of unit process design and hydraulics.
Proven experience in managing project teams on small, medium, and large consulting projects.
Proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
