Southbridge Health Care LP (Southbridge) is currently looking to add a Collections Analyst to our amazing corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Analyst will support the collections function of Southbridge’s Long-Term Care and Retirement homes.
Southbridge is the owner and operator of long-term care homes and retirement communities in Ontario. Southbridge’s mission is to operate a best-in-class portfolio of care homes and retirement communities that consistently deliver excellence in care and services in an economically sustainable manner.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage resident accounts to ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Review aging reports and identify overdue accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with accounts receivable and care home teams to ensure compliance with company collection policies.
- Assist with collection efforts on overdue accounts through calls, emails and written communication.
- Negotiate payment plans or settlements when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, bad debt adjustments and Ministry funding.
- Prepare collection reports, highlighting key metrics.
- Coordinate with the legal team on accounts requiring escalations for legal action.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years’ experience in an accounts receivable, collections, or credit management role.
- Experience in LTC environment/knowledge of MOHLTC guidelines is considered an asset.
- Experience with PCC is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills (written and oral).
- Kind & compassionate approach, combined with strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Post-secondary in areas of business, accounting or related field considered an asset.
