Unregulated Care Providers (UCP)Stittsville, ON K2S 1V4, CanadaWe’re on the lookout for a passionate Unregulated Care Providers (UCP), Healthcare Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), to join our team in the senior living industry in Stittsville, ON CanadaShift schedule: 3pm-11pm part time 30hris biweekly, every other weekend and 1 week a Thursday and other week a TuesdayRESPONSIBILITIES:Medication Administration (*UCPs only)The UCP is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner by law and in accordance with prevailing practices as set out by the pharmacyReviews, reads, documents and communicates pertinent information about residents.Receives medication updatesAdministers/assists/observes medications and treatments for each resident using the medication administration record (MAR)Medications are passed according to times as directed by the residence and/or physician's orderDocuments and initials as medications are given; appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed dosesMaintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication among other residentsQUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated understanding of/empathy for the needs of seniorsPassionate about providing excellent care and services to seniorsCertified in CPR and First Aid recommendedGood written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to update and keep current their knowledge of changing regulations, practices and proceduresPrevious employment in a health care/hospitality setting an assetPSW or Supportive Care certification an assetWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
