The firm is in search of a Banking Law Clerk to join their growing firm.

About the Role
As a Banking Law Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's Banking and Finance practice group. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in the preparation, drafting, and review of legal documents related to banking transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence, research, and analysis to support transactional activities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Manage and organize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
  • Liaise with clients, legal professionals, and regulatory authorities to facilitate communication and information exchange.
  • Provide excellent client service and support in a professional and responsive manner.
  • Conduct legal research on banking and finance laws and regulations to stay informed about industry developments.
  • Summarize and communicate relevant legal findings to support the legal team.
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, including calendar management, scheduling, and coordination of meetings.

What You Bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • A diploma or degree in legal studies or a related field. A legal clerk or paralegal certification is an asset.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Law Clerk, preferably in a banking or finance practice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
