Summary of Role:

The Lead Salesforce Developer plays a pivotal role in the design and implementation of key technical components within a solution, guiding technical resources to successfully deliver project outcomes. This role significantly mitigates project technical risks by identifying design issues early, sharing best practices, and proposing alternative solutions. Collaborating closely with the Technical Architect, the Lead ensures design and code reviews are conducted at major project milestones. This hands-on position demands substantial technical expertise in salesforce.com and related cloud technologies, allowing the Lead to influence and guide both teams and clients based on their extensive knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of analysts, developers, testers, or engineers, overseeing the delivery of a specific module within a project (Delivery/Maintenance/Testing).
  • Serve as an entry-level specialist with expertise in a specific technology, industry domain, process, application, or product.
  • Assume responsibility for the functional/technical track of a project.
  • Hands-on design and development of custom solutions on the force.com platform, emphasizing Apex, VisualForce, and application integration patterns.
  • Evaluate technology tradeoffs and feasibility, making informed choices within project constraints.
  • Act as the technical authority on projects centered around salesforce.com, covering Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and the force.com platform.
  • Design and implement business technology solutions with a focus on cloud-based applications, specifically salesforce.com.
  • Directly participate in or oversee the development of business requirements, specifications, process flows, application design, configuration, and testing.
  • Manage release and environment activities, including sandbox usage planning, metadata and data migration, environment comparisons, and version control.
  • Engage directly with clients to lead projects, facilitate business process analysis sessions, and contribute to the development and delivery of key technology components.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, including offshore team members.

Education and Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead.
  • Over 6 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Hold one or more current Salesforce certifications (Administrator/Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer 1 or 2, App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud).
  • Proficient in Salesforce Best Practices using Apex and Visualforce.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Integration Patterns and multiple Salesforce project deployments, including release and environment management.
  • Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
