Position: Director of Finance
Location: Saint-Eustache

Our client, a large and growing real estate company located on the North Shore, is looking for a Director of Finance. This opportunity would be ideal if you want to work with the President as part of his strategic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for investment and financing, business models, hedging, and cash management. The Director of Finance will not only be an exceptional accountant and expert in the company's finances, but will also be commercially informed, advising on the best growth path for the business.

The Director of Finance has overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company's strategy and should analyze the figures and implement recommendations based on these results, with the most profitable outcomes.

Leading a team through month-end, year-end, and annual budgeting, a Finance Director would have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff and would often have to work with different departments.

The Director of Finance coordinates the company's finances and manages company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, tax, equity, and acquisitions, if any.

Qualifications:

  1. CPA
  2. 8 years' experience in accounting and management
  3. Real estate experience
  4. Resourcefulness, entrepreneurial attitude, and good communication skills

Main duties:

  1. Prepare and monitor budgets and financial forecasts
  2. Prepare and analyze project costs and profitability
  3. Produce periodic financial reports, such as financial statements and balance sheets
  4. Perform and/or supervise all corporate accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounting for financial transactions, asset and liability management
  5. Manage the company's cash flow and ensure it has sufficient liquidity for its operations
  6. Evaluate, request and follow up on financing from financial institutions
  7. Produce financial analyses and explain variances
  8. Provide strategic financial advice to partners
  9. Manage relationships with external financial partners, financial institutions, and other project professionals
