Our client, an entrepreneurial based law firm in Mississauga & Burlington, ON is seeking a Wills & Estates Lawyer with at least 7 years of experience.ResponsibilitiesExperience drafting estate planning documents, including but not limited to wills, including multiple wills, powers of attorney, alter ego and joint partner trusts, discretionary trusts and Henson trustsWorking closely with clients to develop estate plans that creatively consider unique familial situations, including family business, beneficiaries with disabilities, blended families, as well as estate administration tax and income tax implicationsAdvising attorneys for property and personal care and estate trustees by providing guidance as to their duties and responsibilitiesProficiency with estate administration including obtaining Certificates of Appointment of Estate Trustee, Small Estate Certificates, distributions to beneficiaries, applications for resealing of foreign grants of probateAssisting estate trustees with navigating the estate administrationRequirements7 years’ experience in Wills & Estates as a Lawyer within a Canadian law firmMember in Good Standing with the Law Society of OntarioExcellent written and verbal communicationSuperior organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within an open team environment.TEP designation is an asset.Partial or full practice is an asset.Bilingualism is an asset.Entrepreneurial disposition is strongly desired.
