JOB SUMMARY

As the Splicer, you will work to ensure timely and accurate production of manufactured goods and be tasked with production line work, quality assurance, machine operation and general factory labour following all applicable instructions, policies and procedures as provided by Ben-Mor Cables Inc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proficiently splice cable and operate cable press machine, as applicable, following all applicable instructions and Health & Safety policies and procedures;
• Precisely measure, cut, roll, assemble and ensure quality of various cables, chains and accessories as per customer requirements;
• Inspect and report on quality of material and product before, during and following the splicing and assembly process;
• Maintain documentation, equipment, inventory and good housekeeping of work area(s); • Adhere to policies and procedures of Ben-Mor Cables Inc. as well as all regulatory compliance procedures;
• Ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors; report concerns/incidents, as required;
• Perform other related tasks and functions as required by the dictates of the business needs relative to the nature of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three+ (3) years of previous production in a manufacturing environment is preferred;
• Previous experience with cable splicing and rigging is considered a strong asset;
• Strong familiarity with complex calculations and measurements, measuring tools and reading, interpreting and following drawings and instructions;
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with basic math skills;
• Ability to meet the physical and sensory demands of the job;
• Manual dexterity with strong attention to detail and ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required;
• Capability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced and changing environment;
• Must be professional, punctual, reliable and willingness to learn;
• Commitment to being a team player and actively participating in increasing morale and employee engagement;
• Reliable transportation is considered an asset;
• Ability to lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs with rotation is required.
