Project Engineer

Reporting to the Manager Projects and Field Service, the Project Engineer will support the team to deliver engineering projects considering safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Application review of customer specification during pre-sales process to assess best solution.
- Assisting in conducting customer training sessions and in training S&C personnel.
- Communicating effectively with customers while performing tasks such as application review, project implementation, and testing. Includes telephone support for S&C personnel and customers, as well as on-site visits when needed.
- Design of protection and control equipment to meet customer needs, including schematic review and drawing mark-ups.
- Developing configuration files for relays and controls.
- Recognizing and adhering to standard industry safety practices and S&C safety procedures.
- System testing, including test plan development, customer witnessing, and final report creation.
- Working effectively in a team environment with other S&C employees, contractors, consultants, customers, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, preferably electrical.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with different manufacturers relays and controls.
- Extensive knowledge of distribution system equipment and application.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and interpreting control schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Well versed in electrical protection and control philosophy for distribution systems.
- Working knowledge of DNP3.0 and IEC 61850 protocols.
- Working knowledge of secondary injections for relay testing.
- Awareness of Health and Safety at construction site.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools like Microstation.
