In summary, here's how you'll spend your time:

  • Define project requirements with stakeholders and plan all related activities.
  • Draft proposals, budget, and present projects for approval.
  • Plan, coordinate, and approve designs.
  • Research various components and make purchase requests.
  • Manage subcontracting involved in the project.
  • Oversee the implementation of the project in the plant.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments such as maintenance, production, commissioning, manufacturing engineering, etc.
  • Communicate project progress through dashboards, indicators, or during governance meetings.
  • Ensure that the needs of internal or external clients are met and that they are satisfied with the proposed solution throughout the project.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Knowledge of machine safety standards.
  • Experience in equipment development.
  • Knowledge in industrial mechanics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with SolidEdge or other CAD software.
  • Functional English to communicate with our English-speaking clients.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project planning tools.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Strong planning and communication skills.
