Job Description:

The HTS Controls Group is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working Electrician Apprentice who will work under the direction of the Electrician Lead. Responsible for installing of BAS and Mechanical wiring for our Controls projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with : Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical HVAC systems and associated electrical equipment.
  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code.
  • Assisting with : Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, starters, sensors, actuators, and variable frequency drives.
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on job.
  • Utilize blueprints, shop drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
  • Assisting with : Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Electrician Apprentice Construction & Maintenance 309A.
  • Electrical apprentice in 3rd to 5th year, preferably with commercial experience.
  • Able to work in a fast paced and team based environment.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Need to be able to make decisions as projects are constantly changing
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls is preferred.
