Policy Analyst

Department: Economic Development

Hours: 35 Hours per week

Wage: up to $40/hr depending on experience

Summary of responsibilities

The Policy Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Title and Rights Administrator in researching, analyzing, and developing policies related to the implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA) within the context of the Lower Nicola Indian Band. This position requires a deep understanding of Indigenous rights, laws, and policies, along with a commitment to social justice, equity, and community well-being.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Indigenous Studies, Law, Public Policy , Natural

Resource Management, or a related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of Indigenous rights, UNDRIP principles, and relevant Canadian

and provincial legislation.
