Job Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for all related maintenance duties to ensure that units are maintained in a safe, economical, and reasonable manner and available for sale each night.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the property; working day, evening shifts, and/or weekends a possibility.
  2. Implement maintenance activities schedules to cover all tasks to be completed on a regular basis, plan for responding to emergency situations.
  3. Practice regular preventative maintenance and upgrades as necessary for all technical services & components of the building including electrical systems, mechanical systems, energy management systems, fire alarm/safety systems, grounds, parking, renovation, exercise room, etc.
  4. May perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs following BRAND directives and instructions.
  5. Respond to guest calls when on duty.
  6. Support the service personnel to enhance guest services.
  7. Respond to Front desk calls, assisting in checking rooms, luggage delivery, and guest special requests.
  8. Report any equipment malfunction, emergency situations, or suspicious persons to the General Manager.
  9. Anticipate, identify, and correct system breakdowns to achieve guest satisfaction.
  10. Communicate with General Manager and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.
  11. Be fully prepared for fire alarm procedures and other safety requirements.
  12. Complete all fire safety reports (e.g., Fire extinguishers, Health & Safety, Equipment reports).
  13. Be familiar with the location of how to control the supply of water, electricity, and gas in an emergency situation.
  14. Refurbish furniture and fixtures within the hotel such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.
  15. Perform general minor repairs to in-house plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems.
  16. Perform routine maintenance on air handling units (HVAC).
  17. Perform room inspections as required.
  18. Conduct fire alarm training weekly and drills monthly.
  19. Conduct ongoing training for new staff.
  20. Able to troubleshoot, follow, and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
  21. Report work completed daily to supervisor.
  22. Remove snow/ice surrounding the hotel.
  23. Maintain pool facilities in a clean and orderly condition.
  24. Perform some janitorial work inside/outside of the building, keeping the hotel’s appearance at its best.
  25. Ensure compliance with the hotel’s Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
  26. Duties associated with Maintenance position including but not limited to the above.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.88-$18.44 per hour

Benefits: Dental care, Extended health care, On-site parking

Schedule: Day shift, Every Weekend, Night shift
