Communications Coordinator

(12-month term position at YLW – Kelowna International Airport)

Use your strong writing, research, and interpersonal skills to develop and implement communication, marketing, and awareness campaigns for Kelowna International Airport. As a Communications Coordinator, you will create content for a variety of audiences and channels and support key business strategies and objectives for the airport executive team.

The City of Kelowna is one of the most rapidly growing cities in Canada and Kelowna International Airport is an exciting place to be as a communicator. YLW was one of the fastest recovering airports post pandemic and exceeded 2 million passengers in 2023. YLW is also in phase 1 of a three-year terminal expansion project that will add approximately 5590 m2 of new space to the terminal building and 1200m2 of renovated space to the existing terminal building.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in communications, along with practical experience developing and publishing content in a corporate environment. Experience with web content management, email marketing, and social media platforms is essential and experience with design software is preferred.
