Our office in Thunder Bay, Ontario, is looking for a results-oriented and professional Electrical Manager to join the team.
Summary of the Role:
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Electrical Manager will be responsible for the management of all electrical projects in the Thunder Bay and district area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with other division managers, suppliers and sub-contractors to complete projects on time, in budget and ensure all work is done safely with quality standards as a priority.
- Must have the ability to provide clear, unwavering direction to site foremen and workers.
- Ensure that engineering deliverables (e.g., shop drawings, specifications, budget estimates) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices.
- Be responsible for managing multiple jobs through coordinating the effective use of technical staff, equipment and other resources, ensuring jobs are completed to client standards, while enforcing E.S. Fox Limited policies and procedures.
Key Requirements, Experience and Skills: (Please ensure that the below items are documented within the resume, describing code experience as well as employment dates/locations)
- Recognized accreditation as a journeyman electrician.
- Member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code.
- Ability to price and order electrical materials for multiple jobs.
- 5-10 years of progressive electrical supervisory experience.
- Experience with electric take-offs/estimation.
- Excellent computer skills and working knowledge with Outlook, Word, Excel, Project.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in leading a team and making decisions, related to hiring, scheduling and behaviour management.
- Show a high level of technical understanding.
- Budget development experience, including forecasting.
- Safety program management and implementation.
- Strong conceptual skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, planning and organizational abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
