Occupant safety systems rely on active sensors and microprocessors to trigger pre-crash and in-crash occupant protection (such as tightening safety belts and deploying airbags) when it judges a collision is inevitable. Critical crash information is sent over e-call to emergency services and recorded for post-crash analysis.

What you'll do?

  1. Manage and develop a team of Production Supervisors.
  2. Lead team through the continuous improvement process to achieve 5S, On Time Delivery, Direct Labour Cost, and Inventory targets and work with a cross-functional team to achieve OEE, DPMU, and Scrap targets.
  3. Coordinate build plan with Scheduling Coordinator and identify and resolve capacity constraints.
  4. Set, review, and revise production contract numbers as efficiencies change.
  5. Determine root cause on schedule misses and communicate recovery plans.
  6. Lead SQDCM meetings and support production meetings including daily start-up, overtime, etc.
  7. Implement and ensure adherence to Veoneer standard processes, quality standards, and safety standards.
  8. Coordinate production activities through collaboration with Engineering, Logistics, and Maintenance departments.
  9. Drive operational efficiency mindset across the organization.

What you'll bring?

  1. Several years’ work experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment. Previous manager level experience is an asset.
  2. Post Secondary education in a technical field.
  3. Ability to lead and drive continuous improvement.
  4. Possess technical knowledge and be adept at all phases of the manufacturing process.
  5. High-volume electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
  6. Extensive experience applying problem-solving techniques.
  7. Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO14001.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

This position is on the Afternoon shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm)
