We are currently hiring for two Talent Acquisition Specialists. One opportunity is a regular opportunity and the second is a term opportunity, both are in the People & Culture Department and have full time hours. The term opportunity is for a period of approximately six months.
The goal of Talent Acquisition Specialist is:
- To ensure roles are filled in an efficient and timely manner with qualified employees, while creating an exceptional candidate experience.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:
- Be responsible for the full cycle recruitment of various positions across Halifax Water.
- Work in conjunction with the People & Culture team members to provide expertise and hands-on support in a broad range of human resources functions, including recruitment and selection, talent management, and workforce planning.
- Be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders, and communicating and delivering various recruitment and retention programs and initiatives to the business.
- Play a significant role int eh development and implementation of strategic talent management plans to ensure staffing needs are being met.
To do this job, you need to have:
- A university degree in a related field (or suitable combinations of directly related formal education and experience may be considered).
- A Chartered Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation (or be willing to obtain).
- A Registered Professional Recruiter designation (or be willing to obtain).
- Three to five years of broad related HR generalist experience with experience in talent acquisition/ recruiting.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment would be an asset.
