Working in long-term care is more than just a job; it is a calling for many of us.The OpportunityThe Social Worker assists residents and their families by providing support and assessment for residents, related but not limited to, move-in process, transitions, finances, concerns and decline in health as well as assistance accessing community resources.What Is In It For YouAssists the Director of Care and Business Manager with the process of moving new residents into the home by coordinating with incoming residents and their Power of Attorney (POA) and providing support with aspects of the move-in process that require the involvement of the Social Service Worker.Participates in the residence’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program.Evaluates the effectiveness of Social Service Work services on an annual basis and provides input to update policies and procedures that impact the Social Service Work practice.Prepares and submits reports to the residence and/or corporate office as required.What You Will NeedBachelors or Master's Degree in social work.Minimum one-year relevant experience preferably in a health care setting.Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.Work Location: AgeCare Cariboo PlaceAddress: 185 4 Ave N, Williams Lake, BC V2G 2C8FTE: 0.20Employment Type: Regular Part TimeWage Levelling Salary: $42.27 - $52.81 per hourSalary Placement Based On Qualifications And Experience.If you’re motivated by the privilege of serving our seniors with dignity, respect and compassion, come join us
