Sr Java Developer | Tier-1 Bank

HVN Solutions is looking for a Sr Java Developer with strong experience in building microservices and APIs to work on a multi-year digital initiative for one of our tier-1 bank clients.

*This is a hybrid role that requires 3x/week onsite in downtown Toronto, ON near Union Station.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Java
  • Expert-level experience with Spring framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot
  • Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, writing DDL, writing SQL queries.
  • Good knowledge of docker, docker-compose, packaging applications in docker images
  • Expert at object oriented design principles, SOLID principles.
  • Experience with mvn, gradle
  • Experience with JPA, Hibernate, object-relational mapping in general.
  • Strong experience with data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with distributed systems concepts, microservices
  • Experienced with UNIX/Linux, shell scripting environment
  • Deep experience with unit testing, TDD, integration/end-to-end testing
  • CS Degree or equivalent experience
