S.i. Systems enterprise healthcare client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to implement milk management system in NICU and Pediatric units at Royal Columbian and Burnaby Hospitals.
As this is for 2 hospitals under construction/redevelopment, onsite presence will be required at times
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- 10 years PM experience in acute healthcare
- Extensive experience in managing projects involving clinical information systems which include a significant component of system design, testing, documenting workflows and user education.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage clinical, technical and application groups to ensure project is on time and within scope and budget.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
- Experience implementing an enterprise level milk management system in an acute setting environment
- Fraser Health experience, with knowledge of clinical downstream applications and end to end clinical workflows.
JOB DUTIES:
roject Management & Business analysis:
§Lead key stakeholders from the MICY program, Food and Nutrition services RCH Redevelopment Clinical and IMIT, and DPPE gathering functional requirements and documenting workflows.
§Develop and maintain a Project Charter, Project Management Plan, Project Schedule, Project budget, Change Request process, and other project-related documentation.
§Direct and manage project execution.
- Collaborate on vendor procurement activities with procurement, including contract negotiation.
§Work with internal and external project teams and vendors to ensure tasks are on track.
§Call and chair project team and other applicable meetings.
§Document all findings and recommendations in a central area accessible to all project stakeholders.
- Liaise directly with RCH Redevelopment Clinical and IMIT, DPPE and PHSA staff, as necessary, and ensure appropriate processes are completed before go-live or implementation.
- Create final project closure documentation and perform a post-implementation review.
Scope Management
- Collaboration with project leadership to formalize project scope.
- Engage with departmental sponsors and key stakeholders to confirm scope definition, goals, objectives, benefits, etc.
- Identify all pre-implementation (foundational) work required to be completed by the stakeholders in preparation for implementation through engagement with Health Authority resources and the project team.
- Work with project resources to identify requirements, define, verify and control scope, create, and manage WBS.
- Managing and monitoring of budgets/scope and timeline
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The services described in this Statement of Work are being undertaken as part of the Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) Phase 2 and Burnaby Hospital (BH) Phase 1 Redevelopment projects, which are major capital investments involving the construction of a new patient care spaces on both campuses. Completion of the BH phase1 is planned for February 2025 and the RCH phase2 is planned for May 2025.This particular engagement will address the implementation of a robust milk management system within NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) and pediatric units at Royal Columbian Hospital and Burnaby Hospital with the intent of improving clinical workflow and patient safety protocols through tracking and administering feeds precisely eliminating errors.
