  • Ensure effective implementation and compliance with all Health and Food Safety initiatives.
  • Supervise the duties of the Maintenance Supervisors and the Maintenance staff to address day-to-day equipment and process challenges.
  • Ensuring open and effective communications with the Maintenance Supervisors, maintenance staff and all other departments within the plant to maximize production efficiencies and minimize downtime.
  • Manage the Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Program ensuring all work orders are addressed in order of priority.
  • Develop, coach, and motivate all Maintenance employees to high performance through reinforcement, training, and recognition.
  • Ensure that the CMMS (SAP on iPads) is being utilized to meet department KPIs and budget targets.
  • Manage and prioritize projects as requested to maintain plant production.
  • Housekeeping practices and Job Safety Analysis
What You’ll Bring:
  • A technical diploma is required, while an Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years maintenance supervisory experience in Unionized environment with proven progressive management and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and motivational skills
  • Previous experience with food processing, CFIA, HACCP and Six Sigma would be an asset.
  • Familiar with electrical, health & food safety, CFIA/USDA statutory regulations
  • Expertise essential in RCM/FMEA, MTBF, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance strategies
  • Knowledge of MS Office required, AutoCAD, MS Project would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of labor relations issues. Good oral and written communication
