We are looking for an experienced accounting technician at our Saskatoon office.

Baker Tilly SK LLP is a regional accounting firm with offices in Yorkton, Saskatoon and Emerald Park that has been offering services to clients throughout Western Canada since 1920. Our mission is to carry on a successful accounting and business advisory practice, maintaining the highest possible reputation for professional excellence and service to our clients, colleagues and the public.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Duties will include:
  • assist in the preparation of accounting records, financial statements, personal and corporate tax returns,
  • prepare journal entries
  • collaborate with peers and management on file planning and completion, ensuring that time requirements are me
  • performing other related accounting functions .
Hours of Work: Jan-June: 8:00am - 5:00pm (1 hr lunch) (40 hrs per week);July-Aug: 8:00am - 4:00pm (1 hr lunch); (35 hrs per week), Sept-Dec: 8:00am-4:30pm (1 hr lunch).

A successful candidate will have:
  • At least 1 year of Canadian public practice experience,
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and an ability to work both independently and in a team,
  • Strong desire and dedication to work, learn, and thrive in a fast passed, innovative, and dynamic environment
  • Experience with computer software such as; Quickbooks online, Caseware, Spreadsheets (Excel) and with Tax Programs (Tax Prep) is an asset.
