Accounting Technician

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician (Reconciliations) on a permanent basis for our Retail Accounting team.
This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

- Prepare general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations within required deadlines.
- Prepare journal entries and year end working paper files.
- Prepare communications to local Co-ops regarding reconciliations.
- Maintain department files and reconcile bank accounts.
- Other duties as required.
You will work closely with other Accounting Technicians who focus on reconciliations and will be part of a larger accounting team. You will report into the Supervisor, Business Accounting and will interact with professionals across the Co-operative Retailing System. Members of this team have the opportunity to exercise independence when troubleshooting and working directly with customers to address accounting discrepancies.

- Have a high school diploma and one introductory accounting course from an accredited post-secondary institution. Individuals who have a high school diploma and one year of relevant accounting experience will also be considered.
