Buying Coordinator

Lounsbury Furniture in Moncton is seeking a Buying Coordinator.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Buying Coordinator is responsible for accurate entry, purchase and receipt of physical inventory. They will work directly with the Buyer to ensure efficient flow of product and timely ordering practices. Key areas of responsibility include working with the stores leadership team and Sales Consultants to coordinate the purchase of customer orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and enter all goods shipped to the store(s) on a daily basis.
- Calculate landed costs; utilising price tables, including tariffs, fuel surcharges and discounts.
- Create, audit and track purchase orders and submit to suppliers.
- Verify pricing, quantities and accuracy of purchase orders
- Create in-house sku numbers for all new products.
- Co-ordinate freight pick up and deliveries with transport companies, suppliers and warehouse to achieve the most cost effective and quickest delivery.
- Work with Sales Consultants to create customer orders.
- Work with brokerage firm to ensure proper process and paperwork complete.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience related to shipping and receiving administration, is an asset. Including experience calculating and inputting costs related to tariffs, fuel surcharges and currency exchange
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize workflow and work independently
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Well-organized with a disciplined ability to follow through
- Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products & ability to learn in-house computer programs
This position is Monday to Friday and requires you to work on-site at 1655 Mountain Rd, Moncton NB.
