Inuvialuit Knowledge Coordinator

Reporting to the Research Administration and Programs Manager, the Inuvialuit Knowledge Coordinator is responsible for program development and policy creation related to Inuvialuit knowledge-based research activities in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR). This includes planning, securing funding, carrying out research studies on the marine environment and documenting the multifaced social, cultural, and economic relationship the Inuvialuit have with their waterways.
The Inuvialuit Knowledge Coordinator will also be responsible for working with internal and external partners, overseeing, or collecting information, developing research planning materials, conducting literature reviews, coordinating survey instruments, assisting in data analysis, developing knowledge dissemination materials, and providing technical advice to senior management.
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge:
? Undergraduate degree, college diploma or equivalent level of experience in a related field such as library science, social science, liberal arts, or data science
? At least 2 years of experience designing, administering, and leading community outreach or engagement activities.
? Experience working in Indigenous communities and organizations.
? Experience utilizing communications and publication software (e.g., Publisher, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.).
? Experience managing projects and producing status reports.
? Experience collecting, analyzing, and producing Inuvialuit Knowledge resources.
? Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, with diverse audiences.
? Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, Knowledge holders, Inuvialuit Cultural Resource Centre and community organizations.
