Canadian Rockies Public Schools (CRPS) is seeking an experienced and inspiring educational leader for Canmore Collegiate High School and Alpenglow School. Located in Canmore, Alberta, the school serves students from Canmore, Exshaw, Banff and Mini Thni. Alpenglow is a K-6 school and Canmore Collegiate High School is a grade 9-12 school with a combined enrollment of 650 students.

CRPS is looking for a leadership candidate who has a proven record in the support and implementation of Inspiring Hearts and Minds (IHM) objectives and Nurturing Excellence in Instruction and Leadership (NEIL) through the use of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework (TEF).

The ideal candidate will be one who has a proven record in instructional leadership and exemplifies a dynamic, collaborative management style in an environment of positive interaction with all education partners and who will model the mission, vision and values of Canadian Rockies Public Schools. Canmore Collegiate High School and Alpenglow School are committed to academic excellence.

Community partnership involvement at Canmore Collegiate High School and Alpenglow School is outstanding and nurtured at every venue. Working with the School Councils to link with community support will remain essential. Ongoing whole child educational success is ever present at Alpenglow School and Canmore Collegiate High School and the schools pride themselves on involving the entire community to achieve this. The common goal is always to strive for continual, sustained improvement in all areas of academics, community life, and ensuring that the community's identity is reflected in the schools.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years successful instructional leadership/administrative experience and hold a degree at the Masters level or currently engaged in pursuing a Masters.
• Significant teaching experience and have, or is eligible, for Alberta certification.
• Demonstrates educational leadership in achieving strong results for students.
• Through strong instructional leadership, will continue to lead and implement outcome-based assessment and learning practices.
• Demonstrates instructional leadership working collaboratively with professional staff.
• Knowledge of and experience working with assessment for learning principles and strategies.
• Demonstrates examples of a commitment to lifelong learning and active participation in the life of students.
• Informed in the school and school division's Four Year Education Plans and the major themes of Inspiring Hearts and Minds, The Shared Vision of Instructional Excellence, the Teaching Effectiveness Framework and actively embody the Alberta Education Leadership Quality Standard.
• Experience leading creative and experiential education initiatives would be an asset.
• Experience aligning high school curriculum and courses between schools/campuses would be an asset.
