Functions and Duties The Research Assistant will assist the supervisor by performing the following duties:

Review and update their knowledge in research methodology for educational purposesSearches literature sources pertaining to the relevant areas of research. Assists in collecting, recording, compiling, summarizing data, and disseminating information. Participates in research activities related to the subject area being investigated such as events, interviews, reading articles, listening to speakers. Position Specific Functions 5. Assists in identifying perspective subjects for research.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.  Education and Experience Enrolled in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College Prior work experience is an asset. Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel), internet and database research.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment
  • Effective writing and organizational skills and a positive attitude. 
  • Pays significant attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain effective correspondence with professor and partners.
  • Excellent time management skills to coordinate research and academic activities.
Position Specific Education and Experience Students enrolled in the Okanagan School of Business will be preferred.
Knowledge and interest in the area of leadership, program development and mentorship is preferred.
