As the Director of Program Governance, you will be at the helm of building and leading a robust program framework that supports our Division's Strategic Pillars. This high-impact role involves steering comprehensive program management, leading the Collective Planning process with Promotions, Merchandising, and Support teams, and enhancing our vision through innovative process improvements. You'll spearhead the PC Insiders planning and forecasting, working closely with key Enterprise teams to craft and present plans to senior stakeholders. Additionally, you will support in refining our promotions process through the development of critical dashboards which can drive key promotional initiatives to new heights. Join us in this pivotal role and be a catalyst for transformative growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Program Management: Build and lead program framework, collaborate across teams for inputs, steer plans in support of the Division's Strategic Pillars, and report and pivot on performance metrics. Facilitate Executive Meetings through building agendas, prioritize topics, collect pre-read material in a timely manner from stakeholders, manage meeting timing and document minutes.
  • Lead Collective Planning: Facilitate Collective Planning, managing the end-to-end strategic process. Conduct vision process improvements collaboratively with Promotions, Merchandising and other support teams, identify gaps and course correct for concern areas.
  • Lead PC and No Name Insiders Planning: Lead Insiders planning process and forecasting, including managing the Insiders Planning Tool, coordinating with Enterprise teams (Loblaw Brands, Control Brand Marketing, Divisional Marketing, Supply Chain, Allocations, etc.), as well as, documenting and presenting Discount's plan to all senior stakeholders.
  • Manage Promotions Process Improvement and Dashboards: Develop and publish departmental planning instructions, monthly planning calendar/deadlines, process reminders, and keying instructions; determine gaps/opportunities in planning process. Review and facilitate critical promotional programs (e.g. Value Signage, vendor programs, planning playbooks), inclusive of performance reviews, ideation & item selection, change management and leadership alignment. Provide input on and support key promotional initiatives and annual planning
  • Ad Hoc projects as required such as OMNI Channel support.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail/merchandising or similar fields
  • In depth working knowledge of key merchandising and business programs (JDA, MicroStrategy, ABI, others)
  • Expert technical skills in Excel
  • Strong reporting & analytical experience
  • Critical thinking and ability to contribute to business strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Confident in collaborating with and presenting to the executive team
  • Excellent prioritization & organization skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience in project and process management
  • Passion for retail
