Responsibilities:

Develop strategic plans, annual and long-term budgets, and monthly forecasts.

Identify, quantify and address risks and opportunities.

Manage and implement monthly rolling cash flow forecasts.

Produce standard weekly, monthly reporting including revenue and cost analysis, budget reviews (actual vs. budget) forecasting, and business analytics.

Develop and enhance reporting processes, and support transition of financial reporting to new analytical tools.

Provide expertise and executive financial summaries to support strategic decisions, including changes in strategy and capital/operational investments.

Develop strategic business partnerships with functional and departmental leaders.

Work with HR to hire and cultivate highly qualified team of professionals, overseeing quality of work and supporting continuous improvement.

Additional financial analysis and financial planning management responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Education: Post Secondary Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or related Master’s degree preferred.

Professional Credentials: Recognized accounting designation (CA/CMA/CGA/CPA) required.

Preferred Work Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in financial planning, including 4+ years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Sector Experience: Public Sector or regulated industry experience an asset.

Technical and Language Skills Requirements: Superior skills in Microsoft Office software, including Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (may be tested). Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and/or dedicated CPM planning tool (E.g., Oracle, Cognos, OneStream) preferred.

Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong business writing skills and professional verbal presentation skills suitable for a range of audiences.

Demonstrated aptitude for and experience with critical, complicated analytical work, creative thinking, and problem-solving to provide professional analysis and recommendations.

Pleasant and courteous, with demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and engage with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, at all levels of seniority.

Demonstrated record of professional conduct and character. Responsible, reliable and works to deadlines.

Proven ability to respond to sensitive and confidential matters with tact, discretion, and excellent judgement in the interpretation and application of instructions and organization policy.

Strong relationship management skills including client and vendor relations management, business networking, negotiation, change management and consulting/advisory skills.

Excellent listening skills, and the ability to provide and receive effective feedback.

Demonstrated ability to work well independently, collaboratively, and in an advisory capacity, and liaise effectively with a wide and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.

Ability to work both remotely and onsite as required, abiding by organization health and safety policies.

Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities prior to assignment start.

Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.

Satisfactory Background Checks, Technical Skills Evaluations, and Employment References as required.
