We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Core Data to lead our data-centric teams, including Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, and Data Enablement Services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of driving data initiatives that support Compass Group’s objectives and growth. This role reports into the Senior Vice President of Data, AI, Labs.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's vision and business goals.
  • Team Management: Oversee multiple teams, including Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, and Data Enablement Services, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
  • Data Engineering Oversight: Lead the architecture and management of robust, scalable data systems that support enterprise-wide analytics.
  • Business Intelligence Development: Enhance decision-making processes by providing strategic oversight on the deployment of BI tools and systems that provide key insights into business operations.
  • Analytics Innovation: Spearhead advanced analytics initiatives that leverage big data technologies to transform raw data into actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with other senior leaders to integrate data-driven strategies into various business functions.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to meet strategic objectives and deliverables.

  • Passion for Data Challenges: Thrive in a constantly innovating and changing environment and desire to solve complex system and data challenges.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior data management role with proven leadership skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence technologies with experience in leading large-scale data projects and transforming data into a strategic business asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a deep understanding of how to leverage data to drive business growth, manage and mentor teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
