Position Status: Permanent Full-Time

Available: Immediately

Description of the Position:

As Vice President, Precision Marketing, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with the Senior Management Team to define and execute the strategy and vision for SickKids Foundation. You will lead the team that is responsible for raising over $100 million each year from mass audience donors and have accountability for a wide range of marketing campaigns, programs, products, and initiatives for monthly donors, one-time donors, SickKids signature event participants/donors and product purchasers (including SickKids lottery & gaming ticket purchasers).

You are a strong marketer with expertise in marketing, customer engagement and loyalty, possessing extensive experience utilizing marketing channels and techniques to increase revenue. The Vice President, Precision Marketing will lead a large, integrated marketing team in partnership with the Vice President, Head of Brand, Content & Communications. Your direct team is responsible for the development of precision marketing campaigns for the mass audience segment with the goal of driving donor acquisition, loyalty and fundraising revenue.

This portfolio also manages the ongoing relationship with mass audience donors and will help drive the marketing ecosystem to further engage, solicit, and steward mass audience donors. Your knowledge and success around data analytics will lead to best-in-class donor relationships, increased revenue growth and improved marketing ROI.

This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

You will:

  • Advance the mission, vision, and values of SickKids Foundation in partnership with Senior Management Team colleagues
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Management Team to execute SickKids Foundation’s strategic plan
  • Develop long-term and annual marketing strategies with the Marketing Leadership Team
  • Oversee and develop end-to-end marketing campaigns (brief, strategy, creative, media, production) leveraging all channels in the marketing mix
  • Lead the team accountable for programs and products in the Precision Marketing portfolio (monthly donor marketing (full donor lifecycle), one-time donor onboarding plus journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, one-time donation database marketing, e-commerce products (e.g. Get Better Gifts, cards), lottery & gaming (full funnel marketing campaigns)
  • Champion a positive organizational culture and serve as an advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Lead, inspire and mentor three direct reports (Director of Segment Marketing & Leadership Giving; Director of Recurring Revenue Marketing; Director of Go-To-Market, Digital Strategy, Lottery & Gaming) as well as a diverse, talented, and high-performing team of more than thirty (30) professionals to ensure the mission and core values of SickKids Foundation are put into practice
  • Oversee the Marketing BU business planning process
  • Develop professional development programs, performance objectives, and recognition mechanisms
  • Support the marketing team in achieving annual business plans and key performance indicators through strategic guidance and problem solving
  • Ensure accountability of the team, encouraging and fostering collegiality and innovation within the marketing team and across SickKids Foundation
  • Embrace and promote the core values of SickKids Foundation: integrity, collaboration, excellence, innovation, and inclusion
  • Maintain a public-facing leadership role in the not-for-profit sector through presentations at professional conferences and contribution toward professional societies or working groups
  • Grow the share of the current marketing revenue stream by leading the Precision Marketing team to develop strategies and implement plans to acquire and retain donors through innovative marketing channels, campaigns, and programs
  • Oversee key agency and vendor relationships, including developing contracts, evaluating performance, and ensuring budget compliance
  • Manage the overall budget related to precision marketing
